Louisiana – Governor Jeff Landry, State Treasurer John Fleming, Senate President Cameron Henry, and Speaker Phillip DeVillier issued a joint statement following the Office of Management and Budget’s decision to temporarily halt all federal financial assistance disbursements.

The officials expressed support for President Trump’s efforts to cut government waste and maximize taxpayer dollars while seeking further clarification on the scope of the new order.

They emphasized that Louisiana’s financial stability remains intact and urged OMB to ensure a responsible transition away from unnecessary policies without jeopardizing the state’s fiscal health.
