Louisiana – Louisiana State Police detectives have been called in to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Shreveport on the evening of May 9.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., the Shreveport Police Department requested the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations to take over the investigation of the incident, which took place on Yancey Place.
According to authorities, one individual was shot and later pronounced dead. Fortunately, no officers were injured during the encounter. The Louisiana State Police are currently processing the scene and gathering more information as part of the ongoing investigation.
While the investigation is active, authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the shooting at this time.
Louisiana State Police is urging anyone with information, including photos or videos of the incident, to come forward.
