Louisiana State Police take part in Walker’s Night Out Against Crime to strengthen community ties

Louisiana – Troopers from the Louisiana State Police joined law enforcement officers and first responders from across the region for the City of Walker’s Night Out Against Crime, an event focused on public safety awareness and community engagement.

The gathering provided an opportunity for officers to meet residents, interact with local youth, and build trust through positive, face-to-face connections.

According to the department, troopers spent the evening talking with families and answering questions about safety, crime prevention, and the role of law enforcement in the community.

Organizers said bringing agencies together alongside members of the public helps reinforce the shared responsibility of keeping neighborhoods safe.

State Police officials thanked the City of Walker for hosting the event and said they look forward to participating again next year as part of their ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships and foster collaboration with the communities they serve.
