Shreveport, LA – A man was arrested and charged with aggravated second degree battery following an assault reported Tuesday evening on Baird Road, according to the Shreveport Police Department.
Officers responded to the call just after 5 p.m. and located a victim who had sustained injuries during a physical altercation.
Investigators determined that Sedrick Young was involved in the incident, which escalated beyond a fight and resulted in the victim being bitten on the face.
Police said a knife was also involved during the altercation. Officers secured the weapon at the scene and took Young into custody without further incident.
The victim is expected to recover from the injuries sustained during the assault.
Young was booked into jail and charged with one count of aggravated second degree battery. The investigation remains ongoing.
