Northbound lanes of Brookshire Arena Drive in Bossier City to close for three weeks starting Feb. 24

Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that the northbound lanes of Brookshire Arena Drive in Bossier City will close beginning Monday, February 24, 2025.

Additionally, the right turn lane from LA 511 (Jimmie Davis Highway) onto Brookshire Arena Drive will be closed. These closures, expected to last approximately three weeks, will allow contractors working on the Jimmie Davis Bridge replacement project to install drainage structures.

Motorists traveling northbound on Brookshire Arena Drive will be detoured west on LA 511 to Arthur Ray Teague Parkway northbound, then to Kubota Way (formerly Reeves Marine Drive) before reconnecting to Brookshire Arena Drive. Southbound traffic will not be affected.

Drivers should anticipate various road and lane closures as LA 511 undergoes widening and realignment to connect with the new four-lane bridge. DOTD urges motorists to remain attentive in the work zone, follow detour signage, and observe reduced speed limits.
