Shreveport, LA – Members of the Shreveport Fire Department recently completed a 40-hour Vehicle Extrication course, focusing on critical skills needed for emergency response.
The course involved practical exercises in utilizing specialized equipment, ensuring personal safety, hazard control, and effective disentanglement and access techniques.
The training is part of the department’s Special Operations Response program, which helps firefighters stay well-prepared for various emergency scenarios.
Captains Evan Bayton and Jesse Davis served as lead instructors for the course, guiding participants through essential life-saving procedures.
This training ensures that Shreveport firefighters are equipped with the expertise to handle vehicle-related emergencies efficiently and safely.
