Shreveport neighbors’ reports and security video helped police arrest 17-year-old accused of repeatedly firing gun on Fulton Street

Shreveport, LA – Residents in the 1800 block of Fulton Street in Shreveport contacted police after witnessing repeated gunfire in their neighborhood and provided security video to investigators.

Their cooperation led to the arrest of 17-year-old Tevarus Holden on August 27. Police said they seized the firearm that Holden was seen firing in broad daylight.

Holden has been charged with illegal use of a weapon and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.

The Shreveport Police Department stated that the case demonstrates the impact of citizens working with law enforcement to address violence in their communities.
