Shreveport officials thank community for support in Block-by-Block cleanup initiative

Shreveport, LA – Chief Wayne Smith and Mayor Adrian Perkins Arceneaux expressed their gratitude to officers, city workers, volunteers, and residents who joined efforts to launch Week One of the Shreveport Police Department’s Block-by-Block initiative.

Yesterday, crews removed tires, trash, and other debris from the Ingleside neighborhood as part of the program’s mission to reclaim local streets one block at a time.

Officials emphasized that this is just the beginning of a citywide effort, with plans to bring the cleanup initiative to neighborhoods throughout Shreveport in the coming weeks.
