Shreveport Police arrest five individuals for firearm offenses, including possession of stolen weapons and misrepresentation during booking

Shreveport, LA – On February 3, 2024, Shreveport Police Department officers made multiple arrests related to illegal firearm possession, underscoring the department’s efforts to reduce gun violence and ensure community safety.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., SPD Patrol officers contacted the Violent Crimes Abatement Team after observing several individuals running into an apartment with firearms. Officers sought VCAT’s assistance to address the situation.

Officers responded to 4300 Lakeshore Drive, Apartment 303, where they made contact with multiple individuals inside the residence. During the investigation, two firearms were recovered. After interviewing the occupants, four individuals were arrested for firearm-related offenses and taken to the SPD Jail for processing.

Arrested:
– Terrance Clark (DOB: 12/19/2006) – Possession of a Stolen Firearm
– Deatyn Dantzler (DOB: 05/31/2005) – Possession of a Stolen Firearm
– Two additional juveniles were arrested and charged with firearm-related offenses. Their identities are withheld due to their age.

Later the same day, SPD officers investigating a suspicious person arrested Brandon Harris. Initially providing a false name, Harris was later identified upon arrival at Shreveport City Jail.

Investigations revealed Harris had outstanding warrants from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and was a convicted felon. He was also found to be in possession of a stolen firearm, leading to several charges.
