Shreveport Police Department celebrates promotions of four officers

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department recognized the promotions of four of its officers during a recent ceremony. Chief Wayne Smith commended the officers for their years of service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the community.

Sgt. Brianna Rivera was promoted to Lieutenant, and Cpl. Erik Powell earned the rank of Sergeant. Mike Harvey was promoted to Captain, while Donald Belanger also advanced to the rank of Sergeant.

During the ceremony, Chief Smith highlighted the importance of these promotions, acknowledging the hard work and leadership demonstrated by each officer. Lt. Rivera and Sgt. Powell were honored in the presence of their families and loved ones. Although Capt. Harvey and Sgt. Belanger were unable to attend, their achievements were celebrated with equal enthusiasm.

These promotions mark a significant milestone in the careers of these officers, reflecting their dedication to public service and their readiness to take on greater responsibilities within the department.
