Shreveport Police Department raises awareness about child abuse prevention with “Pinwheels for Prevention” event

Shreveport, LA – Members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Juvenile Detective Unit hosted the “Pinwheels for Prevention” event. The event aimed to raise awareness about crimes against children and promote child abuse prevention in the community.

The initiative was part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, observed every April, and drew attention to the importance of protecting vulnerable children.

The event featured a display of pinwheels, symbolizing childhood innocence, and served as a reminder of the critical work being done to prevent child abuse.
