Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department announced recent arrests in two separate domestic violence cases, emphasizing that investigations and accountability continue regardless of the holiday season.

On December 22, officers arrested Catreece Madison in connection with a violent domestic incident that occurred in July in the 500 block of East 84th Street. According to police, Madison is accused of stabbing her girlfriend during a dispute. She has been charged with domestic abuse battery with a dangerous weapon.

In a separate case, Austin Greber was taken into custody following a 2024 domestic violence incident. Investigators say Greber allegedly armed himself with a machete and swung it at a family member, who was able to escape without injury.

Police said Greber avoided arrest for several months and was believed to be living out of state before being located and extradited back to Shreveport. He is now charged with domestic abuse aggravated assault.

Police officials said domestic violence incidents often escalate quickly and can have lasting consequences for victims, families, and those involved. The department reiterated its commitment to holding offenders accountable and protecting victims, even during the holiday season.

Anyone experiencing domestic violence or aware of a potentially dangerous situation is encouraged to contact law enforcement or local support resources for assistance.
