Shreveport, LA – On August 11, 2025, the Shreveport Police Department responded to the Home Depot on Bert Kouns after a man used counterfeit $100 bills to obtain more than $700 worth of merchandise.
Detectives identified the suspect as 29-year-old Paul Crowder, who has a history of counterfeiting offenses. Records show that he was arrested in Chicago in 2023 for using counterfeit bills created from bleached $10 notes.
Authorities said he has been charged approximately 15 times in recent years for forgery, altered documents, and counterfeiting.
Crowder is currently wanted by police. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300.
