Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) and the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) are hosting a Downtown Stakeholder Meeting on Wednesday, June 18 at 9:00 a.m. The event will take place at Wheless Auditorium, located at 333 Texas Street.
The meeting aims to bring together SPD, DDA, business owners, property managers, and community leaders to openly discuss challenges and opportunities facing the downtown area.
Key topics will include public safety and police response, homelessness, panhandling and mental health issues, cleanliness and infrastructure, as well as business support and retention.
SPD Chief Wayne Smith and DDA Executive Director Cedric B. Glover will be present to listen to concerns and collaborate on solutions aimed at revitalizing and strengthening downtown Shreveport.
