Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department honored first responders on National First Responders Day, expressing gratitude for the men and women who serve their communities in times of crisis.
In a message shared by the department, SPD recognized the courage, compassion, and dedication of all first responders who “run toward the danger when others run away.” The department thanked its officers for their service and acknowledged the support of the community, saying it gives their mission purpose.
SPD also extended appreciation to the Shreveport Fire Department and other emergency personnel for their continued partnership in serving residents.
National First Responders Day is observed annually to recognize the sacrifices and commitment of police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and other emergency workers across the country.
