The Shreveport Police Department congratulated K-9 Edy for his exceptional performance in apprehending 29-year-old suspect

Shreveport, LA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident began when officers attempted a traffic stop on Monkhouse Drive, which led to a city-wide pursuit after the driver refused to pull over.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed at the intersection of Kennedy Street and Joe Louis Street, and the driver fled on foot. K-9 Edy quickly located and apprehended the suspect, 29-year-old Quanterius Johnson.

Johnson, who was found to have outstanding fugitive warrants, faces multiple charges including aggravated flight from an officer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of narcotics, illegal carrying of a weapon, and various traffic offenses. He was treated for minor injuries sustained during the incident.

The Shreveport Police Department commends its patrol officers for their effective work in removing another violent offender from the streets.
