Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Fire Department is mourning the loss of three individuals, including both adults and children, following a devastating fire early this morning in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood.
Fire Chief Clarence Reese, Jr. expressed the department’s deep sorrow in a statement, offering condolences to the victims’ families, the local community, and all Shreveport residents.
The fire, which was reported in the early hours, resulted in the tragic loss of life and left one other individual in critical condition. The Shreveport Fire Department responded promptly to the scene, but despite their best efforts, the fire claimed the lives of the three victims.
The fourth victim remains under the care of health professionals, with the fire department sending their thoughts and prayers to those involved and to the healthcare staff treating the survivor.
