Shreveport, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that US 84 (Polk Street) in Mansfield, DeSoto Parish, will close at the Canadian Pacific Kansas City railroad crossing beginning Friday, December 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
The closure will remain in place until Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m. The railroad company will replace two crossings during this period.
The affected crossing is located 0.22 miles west of the LA 175 (Lake Road) intersection. Detour signage will direct motorists to alternate routes during the closure.
This work is dependent on weather conditions. DOTD urges drivers to exercise caution near the construction area and follow detour routes. Ample distance should be maintained between vehicles for safety.
