Omaha, NEBRASKA – According to the court documents, the ex-boyfriend, later identified as 47-year-old AIdrick, was ordered to spend the rest of his life behind bars after he killed 43-year-old Cari two years ago. Prosecutors claim the defendant reportedly broke into the victim’s home only to wait for the woman to come home and kill her. After he killed the 43-year-old woman, the defendant put the victim’s body into his vehicle and took it near his home in Kansas, where he buried it.
According to the court documents, the 47-year-old defendant was convicted of first-degree murder, tampering with evidence and other charges. During the trial, the defendant reportedly argued that his ex-girlfriend reportedly pointed a gun on him first. He and the victim then fought for the weapon when it when off. But, during the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that in 2022, the defendant broke into the victim’s home, where he waited for the woman to come home from a date and then killed her.
The 47-year-old defendant then drove to a different state, where he buried the body. Authorities began their investigation after family members reported Cari as missing. Shortly after, her ex-boyfriend was the main suspect. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the defendant bought an airplane ticket to Belize. Luckily, the owner of the restaurant where the defendant started working called the authorities and told them about AIdrick.
According to L&C, the owner of the restaurant, ShaIton, reportedly told local news outlets: “He told me everything about the case and how he committed the crime. He and the girl was in a relationship … He told me the girl was dating somebody else, and he never meant to kill the girl.” Right before he killed his ex-girlfriend, the defendant reportedly exchanged messages with the victim. The 43-year-old woman reportedly messaged the man that ‘she went out with a friend’. “First time I caught you in a lie,” the defendant messaged her back.
