
Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department reported several recent arrests related to domestic violence incidents, emphasizing ongoing enforcement efforts to address violent offenses.
According to the department, multiple individuals were taken into custody over the past several days on a range of charges. Lawrence Thomas, born June 1, 1972, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse battery.
Christopher Peoples, born July 16, 1990, faces charges of battery of a dating partner and battery of an officer.
In a separate case, Corey Smith was arrested on two counts of domestic abuse aggravated assault, along with an additional charge of illegal use of a weapon involving a firearm.
Officials stated that domestic violence cases remain a priority, with officers continuing to respond to incidents and pursue charges when warranted. The department said it is committed to protecting victims and holding offenders accountable through enforcement and investigation efforts.
