Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA – According to the police officials, the 26-year-old suspect, later identified as Leonhard, was arrested and later charged with murder after he reportedly killed a man by punching him. The responding officers discovered that the victim, who was not identified, reportedly told the suspect and 2 other people to live the pub he was working in.
The responding officers discovered that the pub manager attempted to remove the suspect and two other people from the pub. Per reports, the unidentified pub employee reportedly tried to break up a fight. Shortly after he escorted the 26-year-old suspect and two other people, fight occurred outside and the 26-year-old suspect reportedly punched the unidentified pub employee.
The responding officers released a statement, saying that when they arrived on scene, the unidentified victim was not responsive and was not breathing. First responders rushed the victim to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. According to L&C, Lt. Akufi reportedly said: “A singIe punch was thrown. The victim likely hit his head on the way down to the ground, and it was those things that ended up leading to his death.”
After the fatal incident, local news outlets interviewed other guests at the pub. One of them stated: “It’s really sad to imagine someone was trying to break up a fight, which is above and beyond the role that they think they’re doing when they’re serving patrons at their bar, to be able to step in and do that, I think, is really great and then to be killed doing so it’s just a terrible tragedy.”
