Jacksonville, FL – According to the court documents, the defendant, later identified as 60-year-old Susane, was found guilty of mansIaughter by use of a firearm and is now facing up to 30 years in prison after she killed her neighbor last year. Prosecutors claim the much older woman killed the mother-of-four, 35-year-old Ajlke, while the woman was standing on her porch. According to the court documents, the victim reportedly went to the defendant’s door and knocked on the locked door to confront the elderly woman for injuring her child.
The investigation process began in June 2023 after the 911 called told the dispatcher about shots fired at the location. The responding officers discovered that the victim suffered a single gunshot wound and rushed her to the hospital, only for doctors to pronounce the woman dead.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the elderly woman was upset because the victim’s children were playing near her home. On the fatal day, the woman reportedly threw a roIIer skate at the victim’s child, injuring his foot. The victim’s children then went home and told their mom about the incident. The younger woman went to the defendant’s home and knocked on her front door.
The defendant then fired a single shot through a Iocked door and struck the victim, killing her. During the trial, the elderly woman claimed that the mother was trying to break down her door. The woman also claimed that the victim had come after her in the past and had previously attacked her. But, authorities discovered that the defendant’s actions were not justified before taking her into custody and charging her with her neighbor’s murder.
