Nevada – Nevada authorities took 20-year-old man into custody after he reportedly kiIIed his parent and her associate. The young man, later identified as 20-year-old C. GonzaIes, was ordered to be held without bail after being charged with open murder with a deadly weapon and battery with the use of a deadly weapon. The charges stem from a violent incident in Nevada where he allegedly attacked his parent, 52-year-old CarIa and her 46-year-old associate, AngeIa.

According to the Nevada authorities, officers responded to a distress call reporting a domestic disturbance at the family’s residence last week. Upon arrival, they found the parent’s paI suffering from multiple stab wounds in the driveway. Before being transported to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition, she informed officers that the defendant’s parent, CarIa, was inside the home and needed help.

As officers approached the residence, they encountered the defendant exiting the garage, covered in bIood and dressed only in a t-shirt and socks. He reportedly told officers that ‘the woman attacked him’.

Officers noted that his mouth and hands were covered in bIood. After detaining him, they entered the home and found CarIa lying on her left side with a large, deep wound to the right side of her neck. Despite attempts to administer CPR, she was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:40 p.m.

During the initial investigation, the defendant began thrashing around, requiring multiple officers to place him in a restraint device, including a padded heImet, to prevent self-harm. He was then placed in the back of a patrol car and arrested for obstructing and resisting an officer.

In a subsequent interview at the police department, the defendant claimed that his parent and her associate had assauIted him and that he was defending himself. At one point during the interview, the young man claimed he could bring his mother back, according to police reports.

The defendant then asked detectives if his mother was really gone, appearing confused. Detectives tried to press him for more details about the incident, but he refused, saying he did not really want to talk about it, as noted in court documents.

He insisted that they had attacked him and he acted in self-defense. Later, while speaking with his half-brother at the police station, his sibling told him that he should have de-escalated the situation and simply walked away. The defendant agreed, expressing regret and disbelief over his actions, according to the court documents.
