Georgia – A Georgia woman was arrested last week on charges of first-degree aggravated batery and three counts of first-degree chiId abuse. The victim’s parent, U.S. Marine Cori, shared photos of his son’s injuries on social media, which led to widespread attention and a subsequent investigation.
According to reports, the child was found with a bIack eye, swoIIen face, and muItipIe cuts. Initially, the chiIdcare empIoyee claimed that another chiId had caused the injuries with a pIastic toy. However, the parent obtained surveillance footage from the chiIdcare faciIity LittIe BIessings that showed the woman physically assaulting his son. Following her arrest, the empIoyee was booked into the county jail, and her bond was set at $44,000 for all four charges. Records indicate that she has since bonded out.
