Chicago, IL – According to the court documents, the 44-year-old defendant, later identified as Mohamed, was sentenced to more than five decades behind bars and must serve all of his term after he killed his child two years ago. Prosecutors claim the parent grabbed a rubber maIIet and a metaI poIe, and used them to beat his child to death. The fatal incident occurred just days after the parent revoked his approval for his daughter to attend her high school pr0m.
The investigation process began in May 2022 after the victim’s family member found the child unresponsive. First responders discovered that the child was covered with bruises and pronounced her dead at the scene. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the parent grabbed a maIIet and a metaI poIe before he used them to beat his 17-year-old daughter, Mla, to death.
The defendant was found near the victim’s body. The man reportedly ingested pills in a bit to take his own life. Right before he took the medication, he messaged a family member and confessed the murder. The man reportedly wrote that ‘he lost his mind and beat his daughter to death’. The teen was the primary caregiver for her mom, who was incapacitated 3 years ago, court records say.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the parent killed his child just days after he withdrew his permission for his daughter to attend her high school prrom. The man even told family members that he found messages on his child’s phone which led him to not believe the teen. Authorities also discovered that the victim was afraid of her parent because she believe that he would beat or kill her because she was involved in a minor car crash days before the fatal beating.
