Man booked for firearm possession after self-inflicted gunshot

Shreveport, LA – Shreveport Police responded to a reported shooting on the 3700 block of Morrow Street, where officers found Evan Goodin with a gunshot wound.

Initial reports suggested a possible domestic incident, but investigators determined the wound was self-inflicted following an argument with his girlfriend.

Goodin, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms, was treated for minor injuries before being booked into jail for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Authorities emphasized their ongoing commitment to preventing prohibited individuals from having access to firearms.
