Indianapolis, IN – A 27-year-old Indiana man, DyIan, had been living with his parent for 10 days after getting out of jail only to start beating the woman by punching her in the head before he tried to suffocate her. The defendant, who was out on bond for previous charges, punched the woman and repeatedly hit her with knee, leaving her with injuries which required medical attention. The unidentified woman was rushed to the hospital for treatment and later treated for a potential skull fracture, while her son left the home only to be arrested shortly after at a local store.
Records indicate that the 27-year-old Indiana man has an extensive criminal background, including charges for criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, operating a vehicle under the influence, public intoxication, driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended license after a prior conviction, and additional offenses. The defendant allegedly told investigators that he checked to make sure his mother’s residence was empty before setting upon her from behind.
This unfortunate incident occurred last week at the mother’s home, police officials said. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the son, who was out on bond for previous crime, reportedly checked to make sure his mom’s home was empty and she was all alone before the allegedly assault occurred. The man reportedly grabbed a pIastic wrap and tried to suffocate the woman before putting her in a headIock. When the woman struggled, her son reportedly began dragging her and then began punching her in the head. According to the police officials, the man also used his knees to hit the woman in the head.
During the investigation process, authorities learned that the man attacked his parent because he wanted to convince her that he was not a boy and that she couldn’t push him around. The man also claimed the woman stole money from his account. After the woman denied taking the money, he reportedly began beating the woman. Witnesses, who were not identified, allegedly supported the mother’s story in interviews with police. The unidentified witnesses also said the man calmly walked out the home after the beating.
