Jacksonville, FL – According to the police officials, the young teen, later identified as 16-year-old EIi, was taken into custody and later charged with murder and other charges in connection with the death of 38-year-old EuIaIia. Police officials said the boy shot the woman in the head while she was holding her 1-year-old baby. Luckily, the little baby was not harmed. The 38-year-old mom was suffering from life-threatening injuries when officers arrived on scene.
She was rushed to the hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after. The fatal incident occurred last week when the boy approached the mother, got his handgun and shot the woman in the head before fleeing the scene. Several neighbors also identified the boy as the shooter, police officials said. The 38-year-old mom was shot while standing in front of her house. Police officials said that she was holding her baby when she was fatally shot.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the 16-year-old reportedly shot the mother because he was angry her daughter left him. Authorities believe he shot her to get his revvenge. Police officials said that the victim’s daughter was in a reIationship with the shooter for nearly 10 months and left him two months before he shot her mom in the head.
During an interview with investigators, the 16-year-old reportedly confessed to shooting the mother. He also told investigators that he planned to kill one of his ex’s famiIy members because he wanted to retaliate against her for ending their relationship. After he shot the woman to death, he ran away home.
