Jacksonville, FL – According to the police officials, the 17-year-old trans girl is now fighting for her life after 29-year-old man, later identified as AIexander, reportedly stabbed her nearly two dozen times for no apparrent reason. It remains unclear if the unidentified victim was targeted specifically because they were transgender.
This unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday at the MIA, police officials said. The 29-year-old suspect reportedly grabbed a big butcher knife before stabbing the trans teen nearly 2 dozen times. The unidentified trans girl reportedly suffered multiple stab wounds to the shoulders, neck, face, head and other parts of her body.
Before she was attacked, the trans teen was reportedly sitting on the floor and eating. The unidentified trans girl then attempted to escape, but the attacker continued to stab her. After the stabbing, the 29-year-old man then tried to throw the trans teen from the 4th floor. Luckily, the trans girl was able to escape from the attacker and call authorities. The tans girl was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police officials said the teen is transitioning to a woman. During an initial interview with investigators, the 29-year-old suspect reportedly admitted to stabbing the trans girl because ‘someone inserted drugs into his rectum but was not sure if the girl he attacked was responsible’. The man also told investigators that he ‘felt the need to injure whoever put the drugs in his body and he bought the knife at a nearby store’. He is being held without bond, court records say.
