Woman told her child, who fell downstairs and couldn’t move after being shot, to tell police that homeIess man broke in and shot her right after shooting the girl, leaving her in critical condition

Baltimore, MD – According to the police officials, the 32-year-old parent, later identified as TaIecka, was arrested and later charged with attempted murder, assauIt, use of a firearm and other charged after she shot her child following an argument, then told the 13-year-old girl to lie to authorities that someone broke into their house and shot her. The child suffered life-threatening injuries from the incident and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. She is still recovering in the intensive care unit in the hospital.

The investigation process began on Monday after officers responded to the family’s home in connection with a shooting call. First responders realized that the child suffered life-threatening injuries after she was shot in the neck and rushed her to the hospital for treatemnt. During an interview with investigators, the mother reportedly said that her daughter was shot by a homeIess man, who reportedly broke into their home. The child then fell downstairs and was unable to move.

During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the mother shot her daughter following an argument, after the child came back from school. The woman also told her daughter to tell authorities that someone broke in into their house and shot her, right after shooting her in the neck. 

The woman even called the victim’s dad and reportedly told him that if their child refused to talk with authorities, the case will go away. Authorities also added that the mother not even once asked about her daughter’s condition, who was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. The 32-year-old mom is being held without bond, court records say.
