
Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department announced an arrest following a shots fired incident that occurred at the intersection of Alma Street and Linwood Avenue on May 20, 2026.
According to officials, officers responded around 2:00 p.m. after receiving multiple reports of gunfire in the area. When police arrived, they made contact with a victim who stated that the suspect fired shots at him without provocation. The victim also reported that he returned fire during the incident. No injuries were reported.
Investigators processed the scene and collected evidence as part of the ongoing case. Detectives later identified 18-year-old Kyron Norris as the suspect in the shooting.
Police said Norris was arrested after an interview with investigators and charged with illegal use of a weapon, aggravated criminal damage to property, and obstruction of justice. He was transported to the Shreveport City Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
