Shreveport, LA – Alert patrol officers with the Shreveport Police Department arrested a repeat offender accused of being connected to several recent business burglaries across the city.
According to police, multiple businesses were targeted over the past several days in similar incidents. Officers reviewed surveillance footage from several crime scenes and identified a truck believed to be linked to the break-ins.
The vehicle was later located during a traffic stop in the 6900 block of Broadacres Road. Police said the driver, identified as Michael Butler, was found in possession of cocaine during the stop.
Investigators later connected Butler and the vehicle to at least three recent business burglaries in Shreveport, officials said.
Police also stated that Butler has dozens of prior burglary-related arrests, including a previous arrest for unauthorized entry of a business.
The investigation remains ongoing.
