Shreveport, LA – On the evening of May 17, around 8:30 p.m., Shreveport Police officers moved to stop a vehicle at the junction of Milam Street and Hearne Avenue upon confirming it as stolen.

The driver, later identified as 55-year-old Patrick Williams, evaded the stop and initiated a pursuit.

The chase ensued until Williams abandoned the vehicle and took off into a wooded area adjacent to Maple Street. Shreveport Police swiftly deployed their Canine Unit, with Canine Storm joining the effort to track down the suspect.

After a brief but intense search, Storm successfully located Williams within the wooded expanse.

Williams was promptly apprehended and charged with multiple offenses, including illegal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, aggravated flight from law enforcement, and obstruction of a state highway.

Williams received medical attention for minor injuries sustained during the pursuit.

Shreveport Police commended the exemplary efforts of both Canine Storm and his handler in swiftly resolving the situation safely.
