Shreveport, LA – According to the CPSO officials, residents interested in applying for a street-blocking permit can obtain applications at the sheriff’s north and south substations or at the Patrol Office, located at 4910 North Market Street, Shreveport.

Completed applications must be submitted to the nearest Sheriff’s Office substation by September 20. Once approved, the permit will authorize the closure of portions of your street for the event.

National Night Out, scheduled for October 1 in Caddo Parish, offers an opportunity for residents to take a stand against crime by participating in neighborhood gatherings and crime prevention events.

Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr. highlighted the event as a chance to connect with neighbors, support law enforcement, and stay informed about local issues. “Criminals can’t win if we are united in our approach to fight crime,” he stated.
