Shreveport, LA – According to the police officials, the course, which was led by experienced instructors from the Shreveport Fire Department and Louisiana Task Force 3 Urban Search and Rescue, reportedly brought together participants from multiple agencies, including the Bossier City Fire Department, Caddo Fire District One, Caddo Fire District #4, and Pineville Fire Department.

The training is designed to ensure that personnel are adequately prepared to respond to structural collapses caused by catastrophic events.

Many of the participants already have experience in other areas of special operations and rescue response and often serve on urban search and rescue teams.

The Shreveport Fire Department extended special thanks to Ivey’s Building Material and President Mitch Johnson for donating materials and supplies used in the course.

Their contributions play a crucial role in ensuring firefighters receive the essential training needed to respond effectively to critical situations. This support underscores their commitment to the safety and well-being of the community.
