by Erica Knowles

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Fire Department kicked off its 40th annual Operation Santa Claus toy drive, an enduring tradition aimed at spreading holiday joy to children in need.

This initiative represents a collaboration between the Shreveport Fire Department, Shreveport Police Department, and Townsquare Media.

The program’s mission is to provide new toys to underprivileged children in the local community, ensuring they experience the magic of Christmas. To support the effort, residents are encouraged to contribute by donating brand-new toys or making monetary donations.

Donations can be dropped off at Townsquare Media, located at 6341 Westport Avenue, or at any Bonvenu Bank location in Shreveport and Bossier. The toy drive will accept contributions until December 16, with deliveries scheduled for December 18–20.

During these dates, Shreveport firefighters and police officers will personally distribute the toys, ensuring children across the area receive a special gift in time for Christmas Day.
