Shreveport fire employees honored at city awards banquet

Shreveport, LA – Several Shreveport Fire Department employees were recognized for their dedication and service during the City of Shreveport awards banquet.

Mrs. Chauntell Hutcherson received the 2024 Spirit of the City award, an honor given to City of Shreveport employees who demonstrate exceptional customer service, leadership, and teamwork. Mrs. Hutcherson serves as the Executive Assistant to the Fire Chief.

Additionally, several department members were recognized for their years of service:
– Assistant Chief Tommy Carpenter, B-Shift Commander: 50 years of service.
– Substitute Assistant Chief Mike Mackey, C-Shift Commander: 40 years of service.
– Captain Carlos Steward, EMS Supervisor: 30 years of service.
– Captain Marcus Bagley: 25 years of service.
– Mrs. Shante Perry, Management Assistant: 25 years of service.

The event celebrated these individuals’ dedication and contributions to the Shreveport community.
