SFD expresses gratitude to company for donating five MSA 4-gas monitors, essential tools for ensuring firefighter and public safety

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Fire Department expressed gratitude to Calumet-Shreveport for donating five MSA 4-gas monitors, essential tools for ensuring firefighter and public safety.

These monitors measure levels of oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and combustible gases and are used daily in operations.

Chief Reese praised the donation, stating, “We are dedicated to strengthening the bonds of the relationships with our community partners to better serve our citizens. Calumet has once again proven their commitment to public safety and the City of Shreveport by providing our firefighters with the necessary tools to continue to perform our duties at a high level.”

The department highlighted the importance of partnerships like this in maintaining the safety and effectiveness of their services.
