Shreveport, LA – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr., has officially launched the Explorer POST Program, aimed at youth aged 13 to 18.
This initiative combines career exploration with leadership development, providing young participants with hands-on opportunities to learn about law enforcement while building essential skills for their future careers.
The program’s launch was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Sheriff’s Office and the Norwela Council of Scouting America. The ceremony took place on January 13 in the Media Room at Government Plaza in Shreveport.
An open house for the program will be held on January 27 at The Sheriff’s Safety Town, where prospective explorers and their families can learn more about this new opportunity.
The Explorer POST Program reflects the Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to fostering community engagement and preparing the next generation for success.
