Louisiana – Governor Jeff Landry issued a proclamation calling on Louisiana residents to join him in flying the United States flag and Make America Great Again (MAGA) flag on January 20, in honor of President Donald J. Trump’s inauguration.

The Governor announced that the Louisiana Governor’s Mansion will proudly display a MAGA flag to commemorate the occasion.

President Trump secured a decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election, capturing all swing states and earning 312 electoral votes. He also won the popular vote, receiving 77 million votes nationally, including 1.2 million from Louisiana. Governor Landry emphasized that the results signal a clear mandate for change in the country.

“Under President Trump, a new era begins—one where America and her people will always come first,” said Governor Landry. “In Louisiana, we believe that is something worth celebrating.”

The Governor encouraged residents to participate in the celebration of what he described as a historic moment for the nation and the state.
