Louisiana – A $4.6 million road construction project on La. 758 (Woodstone Road) in Evangeline and St. Landry Parishes is set to begin Friday, March 14, 2025, according to an announcement from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD).
The project will cover a 3.2-mile stretch between US 190 (Ronald Reagan Drive) and La. 29 (Chataignier Road).
The construction will involve milling asphaltic concrete, subgrade treatment, in-place base rehabilitation, patching, asphalt overlay, rumble strip installation, and striping to improve road conditions.
Work is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures, which may cause delays.
The road will remain open to traffic, but a 12-foot maximum lane restriction will be enforced for oversized vehicles.
Emergency vehicles will be allowed access but may experience delays.
The project is expected to be completed by August 2025.
