Shreveport Police Department conducts seatbelt safety checkpoint along Bert Kouns Industrial Loop

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department’s Traffic Bureau recently conducted a seatbelt safety checkpoint along Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.

Over 1,500 vehicles were screened, with officers ensuring that both drivers and passengers were properly secured.

While a few citations were issued for non-compliance, the checkpoint also resulted in positive interactions and smiles as many drivers adhered to the safety requirements.

The department thanked the community for their cooperation in helping to keep the roads safer.

The checkpoint was part of ongoing efforts to promote road safety and encourage responsible driving practices.
