Shreveport, LA – A 42-year-old woman was arrested by Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies after allegedly causing a disturbance on school grounds during an after-hours event at Huntington High School, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.
Aquanita Turner, 42, was taken into custody on the morning of April 25 when she arrived at the school to speak with the principal about a prior incident.
According to authorities, Turner had been involved in a verbal confrontation with a teacher the evening before, during a school event held outside regular hours.
School Resource Officer Deputy Kevin Brown reported that Turner approached the teacher, engaged in a heated argument, and threatened the educator in front of others.
The situation escalated to the point where Turner had to be physically restrained by individuals at the scene. The motive behind the confrontation has not been publicly disclosed.
Following her arrest, Turner was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center. She was booked on multiple charges, including interfering with the operation of schools, disturbing the peace, and simple assault. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
