Shreveport city marshal’s office announces annual amnesty day for individuals with outstanding warrants

by Erica Knowles

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport City Marshal’s Office has scheduled its Annual Amnesty Day for Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Shreveport City Courthouse.

This event provides an opportunity for individuals with outstanding warrants or unpaid fines from Shreveport City Court to address their legal matters without the risk of arrest or additional fees.

Participants are required to bring valid identification and can expect to receive assistance in setting new court dates or arranging payment plans to resolve their cases. The initiative aims to reduce outstanding warrants and encourage compliance with the legal system.

It is important to note that this program excludes warrants related to domestic abuse, driving while intoxicated (DWI), or probation violations; those cases require bond posting and are not eligible for amnesty.

The Amnesty Day applies exclusively to warrants issued by Shreveport City Court and does not cover warrants from other jurisdictions. The Marshal’s Office encourages eligible individuals to take advantage of this opportunity to resolve their outstanding legal issues promptly.
