Shreveport, LA – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office announced a sobriety checkpoint will take place from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, in South Caddo Parish.
The checkpoint aims to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving and to remove intoxicated drivers from the roads to help prevent accidents and injuries.
While impaired driving accidents have decreased in Louisiana, officials say ongoing enforcement efforts remain critical to further reduce these incidents.
The checkpoint is funded through a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
