Shreveport, LA – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office has launched its annual Back-to-School Supply Drive to help ensure that underprivileged children in the community are equipped for the upcoming school year. The effort began Friday, July 18, and will continue through Friday, August 8.

The goal is to make sure every child enters the classroom with the basic supplies needed to learn and succeed.

Community members are encouraged to donate brand-new items such as pens, pencils, highlighters, markers, notebooks, backpacks, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, and Kleenex.

All donations can be dropped off at Sheriff’s Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Avenue in Shreveport.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized the importance of community support in making the school year a little easier for families who may be struggling. By donating, residents can help local students focus on their education without the added burden of not having essential supplies.
