Shreveport, LA – Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred early Tuesday morning, July 28, along the railroad tracks on Norris Ferry Road, south of Overton Brooks Road, just outside Shreveport, Louisiana.
According to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr., the incident took place shortly after 4 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing a man on the tracks as a train approached.
Despite the train’s efforts to stop, it was unable to avoid colliding with the individual, resulting in a fatality.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Authorities have not released the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
