Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Fire Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man believed to have intentionally set fire to an abandoned apartment building at the Jolie Apartments, located at 1017 Quail Creek.

Fire crews responded to the blaze around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, weighing approximately 160 pounds, who was last seen wearing black sweatpants and no shirt.

Investigators believe he was seriously injured after falling from the roof of the two-story building and may be moving slowly due to his injuries.

Authorities also noted that he would likely smell strongly of smoke.

This marks the ninth fire reported at the Jolie Apartments since the complex was closed.

Officials said these incidents not only put firefighters at risk but also threaten the safety of nearby residents.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.

Authorities added that if the suspect is in need of medical attention, the Shreveport Fire Department is prepared to provide transport to a local hospital.
