Shreveport, LA – Louisiana State Police troopers visited a driver’s education class in the Shreveport area on August 30 to speak with students about roadway safety and responsible driving.

During the presentation, troopers shared firsthand accounts of their careers and real-life traffic encounters, highlighting the critical decisions that can impact safety behind the wheel.

The discussion emphasized the dangers of impaired and distracted driving, the importance of wearing seat belts, and other key safety tips. Students actively engaged with the troopers, asking questions and demonstrating a strong interest in becoming responsible drivers.

The Louisiana State Police said these outreach efforts are important for building safer communities and educating the next generation of motorists.

Schools or organizations interested in hosting a similar presentation can contact their local LSP Public Information Officer through the department’s community outreach webpage.
