Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that the LA 480 bridge over Boggy Lake in Red River Parish will be closed beginning Monday, October 13, 2025, for scheduled bridge piling repairs.
The closure is expected to last three days, weather permitting, and is necessary to maintain the safety and serviceability of the bridge.
The bridge is located approximately 4.8 miles south of the Town of Coushatta. During the closure, all vehicles will be required to use an alternate route, with detour signage in place to guide motorists.
DOTD reminded drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists to exercise caution in and around the construction zone.
Motorists are urged to drive carefully, watch for work crews and equipment, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles while traveling near the site.
